March 17, Ren Zhenhe, Deputy Secretary of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the Gansu Province, met with a delegation led by Jakub Kumoch, Ambassador of Poland to China, in Lanzhou.
任振鹤对古天卫一行来甘访问表示欢迎，并简要介绍了甘肃经济社会发展情况。他说，2016年，习近平主席对波兰进行国事访问期间，两国元首共同决定建立全面战略伙伴关系。去年6月，习近平主席同杜达总统在北京进行会谈，达成一系列重要共识，进一步丰富拓展了中波全面战略伙伴关系内涵，为促进两国地方政府间交流合作指明了方向。甘肃最大的机遇在于“一带一路”。近年来，我们全面落实习近平主席“深度融入高质量共建‘一带一路’和西部陆海新通道建设”的重要指示要求，放大区位优势，做大开放平台，扩大贸易通道，正在全力构建内外兼顾、陆海联动、向西为主、多向并进的开放新格局。我们愿同波方一道，落实好两国元首达成的重要共识，秉持开放包容的理念，密切各层级交往，深化与波兰在贸易、农业、数字经济、绿色产业、清洁能源等领域合作，实现更深层次、更宽领域的互利共赢，为推动中波关系健康稳定发展作出贡献。
Ren Zhenhe extended a welcome to Ambassador Jakub Kumoch and his delegation, providing a brief overview of Gansu’s economic and social development. He noted that in 2016, during President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Poland, the leaders of both countries jointly decided to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership. In June of last year, President Xi Jinping and Polish President Andrzej Duda held talks in Beijing, reaching a series of important consensuse, which further enriched and expanded the connotation of the China-Poland comprehensive strategic partnership and pointed out the direction for promoting exchanges and cooperation between local governments of the two countries. Gansu’s greatest opportunity lies in the Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, we have fully implemented the important instructions and requirements of President Xi Jinping on “deeply integrating into the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the Western Region”. By leveraging its geographical advantages, expanding opening-up platforms, and increasing trade channels, Gansu is striving to build a new open economic structure that coordinates domestic and international factors, links land and sea, prioritizes westward expansion, and promotes multi-directional progress. We are willing to work together with Poland to implement the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state, uphold the concept of openness and inclusiveness, strengthen exchanges at all levels, and deepen cooperation with Poland in such fields as trade, agriculture, the digital economy, green industries, and clean energy, so as to achieve mutually beneficial win-win results at a deeper level and in a wider range of areas, and make contributions to the healthy and stable development of China-Poland relations.
古天卫表示，习近平主席提出的共建“一带一路”倡议对波兰意味着巨大发展机遇，有力促进了波兰基础设施建设和经济发展。波兰同甘肃各领域合作潜力巨大，波驻华使馆愿发挥积极作用，推动双方交流合作迈上新的更高台阶。
Ambassador Jakub Kumoch said that the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping represents great development opportunities for Poland and has effectively promoted Poland’s infrastructure construction and economic development. There is huge potential for cooperation between Poland and Gansu in various fields, and the Polish Embassy in China is willing to play an active role in promoting bilateral exchanges and cooperation to a new and higher level.
