——外籍留学生感受中医药文化
TCM Embraced by Foreign Students in Lanzhou, China
中医药是中华优秀传统文化的重要组成部分和典型代表。党的二十大报告提出了“促进中医药传承创新发展”的要求，习近平总书记强调“中医药是中国古代科学的瑰宝，也是打开中华文明宝库的钥匙，要让中医药走向世界”。地处中国西北内陆腹地的甘肃是中国中药材主产区，也是中医药文化发祥地之一，在这片历史悠久的土地上，中医药的传统与智慧得以世代相传。为进一步弘扬中医药文化，2024年11月14日，市委宣传部、市政府外事办、市公安局出入境管理部门及甘肃中医药大学联合举办“兰州好city，我在这里看中国”系列三：国有疆、医无界，洋学生解锁“望闻问切”活动。
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an essential part and typical representative of the excellent traditional Chinese culture heritage. The report of the 20th CPC National Congress put forward the requirement of promoting the inheritance, innovation and development of TCM, and President Xi emphasized that TCM is the treasure of ancient Chinese science and the key to unlocking the treasures of Chinese civilization and it must be shared with the world. Located in the hinterland of northwest China, Gansu stands as a pivotal production hub for Chinese herbal medicines and holds a prominent place as one of the cradles of TCM. Over generations, the tradition and wisdom of TCM have been passed down in this region. To further promote TCM culture, the Publicity Department of CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office of Lanzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Exit-Entry Administration Department of Lanzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau and Gansu University of Chinese Medicine jointly organized an activity to visit TCM enterprises and hospitals, providing foreign students with an immersive experience of TCM and Chinese culture on 14 November 2024.
14日上午，42位甘肃中医药大学外籍留学生来到兰州佛慈制药股份有限公司学习参观。这家拥有近百年制药历史的“中华老字号”企业，始终致力于中草药的研发和生产，已发展成为集中药材种植与加工、天然药物与保健品研发、中药现代剂型及保健食品生产销售为一体的西北地区中医药行业的骨干企业。
On the morning of 14 November, 42 foreign students from Gansu University of Chinese Medicine visited Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Company. Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a century-old state holding listed company, honored as a Chinese Time-honored Brand company who has continuously dedicated itself to the development and production of herbal medicine. Foci has now grown into a modern pharmaceutical company with R&D of Chinese herbal medicines, modern formulations production and provide professional process capacity of extraction of TCM, and it has become a key TCM enterprise in northwestern China.
跟随讲解老师的步伐，外籍留学生们进入公司主楼。老师讲述了佛慈公司的企业文化，介绍了爱国实业家玉慧观、郑平书等人创立“上海佛慈大药厂股份有限公司”的故事。在产品展区，外籍留学生们了解了佛慈公司极具代表性的“内消瘰疬丸”、“六味地黄丸”、“安宫牛黄丸”等明星产品。
In the main building of Foci, the staff introduced the origin of the name and enterprise culture of the Company, and interpreted the stories of patriotic industrialists Yu Huiguan and Zheng Pingshu who established the enterprise. In the product exhibition area, foreign students learned about the highly representative products of Foci, such as Neixiaoluoli Pills, Six-ingredient Rehmannia Pills etc.
随后，讲解老师带领外籍留学生走进公司车间，近距离参观制剂车间浓缩丸生产线，感受传统与现代相结合的制药工艺。领略了佛慈首创中药浓缩丸剂型、开创中药工业化生产先河并持续将传统中药与现代科技完美融合的伟大壮举。来自土库曼斯坦的胡梅表示：“中药太神奇了，在佛慈学到了很多”。
The staff led the foreign students into the company’s workshop, visited the concentrated pill production line in the preparation workshop, and witnessed the combination of traditional and modern pharmaceutical technology. They appreciated Foci’s great undertaking of creating the first concentrated pill form of TCM, pioneering the industrial production of TCM. Humay from Turkmenistan expressed her enjoyment of the activity, saying that, TCM is truly amazing, and I learned a lot from Foci.
下午，甘肃中医药大学12位外籍研究生来到了甘肃中医药大学附属医院敦煌医学特色门诊参观学习。甘肃中医药大学附属医院设立的敦煌医学特色门诊，是全国首家敦煌医学特色专科。敦煌医学作为中医学的重要组成部分，拥有深厚的历史底蕴和独特的理论体系。该门诊的设立，旨在将敦煌医学的理论研究、实验研究、教学研究及临床应用相结合，为患者提供更为专业、有效的医疗服务。
In the afternoon, 12 foreign postgraduates from Gansu University of Chinese Medicine (GUCM) visited the Dunhuang Medical Speciality Outpatient Service of the Affiliated Hospital of GUCM. This department, the first of its kind in China, highlights the unique theories and practices of Dunhuang medicine, an important branch of TCM with a rich history and unique theoretical framework. The establishment of the department is aimed at combining the theoretical, experimental, teaching research, as well as clinical application of Dunhuang medicine to provide patients with more professional and effective medical services.
来到敦煌医学特色门诊，医生为外籍留学生详细讲解了墙上的一幅幅敦煌壁画，介绍了敦煌医学的来历及应用价值。在针灸文化陈列室，外籍留学生们通过了解灸法灸具历史沿革、针灸铜人、各类针灸经典书籍等，深入学习了中医针灸文化。
In the Dunhuang Medical Speciality Outpatient Service, the doctor explained the detailed meaning of Dunhuang mural for the foreign students and introduced the origin and application value of Dunhuang medicine. In the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Culture Showroom, foreign students learned more about Chinese acupuncture and moxibustion culture by learning the history through bronze acupuncture figure, and all kinds of classic books on acupuncture.
在中医诊疗室，外籍研究生们观看了敦煌医学特色疗法的演示，如针灸、拔罐、推拿等，专家亲自演示，为他们讲述了这些疗法的作用原理及适用病症。在专业人员的指导下，来自哈萨克斯坦的韩丽亲自尝试了针灸疗法，她兴奋地说：“中医非常有效，希望能在中国学成后回哈萨克斯坦开一个中医诊所”。在交流互动环节，中医专家及敦煌医学特色门诊的医护人员与外籍研究生面对面交流，解答他们对于中医药知识的疑问，来自俄罗斯的罗曼说：“希望中医药能在俄罗斯发扬光大”。
In the TCM treatment room, the foreign students watched the demonstration of Dunhuang medicine characteristic therapies, such as acupuncture, cupping and tuina therapies. The experts themselves demonstrated and told them the principles of these therapies and the applicable diseases. Under the guidance of the professionals, Han Li from Kazakhstan tried acupuncture therapy herself, and enthusiastically remarked, TCM is very effective, and I hope I can return to Kazakhstan to open a TCM clinic after I finish my studies in China. In the interactive session, Chinese medicine experts and medical staff from Dunhuang Medical Speciality Outpatient Service met with foreign students, answering their questions about TCM. Roman from Russia said, I hope that TCM will continue to flourish in my country.
此次活动旨在搭建一个让广大外籍留学生了解甘肃特色中医及中医药产业的平台，提供“沉浸式”中医药文化体验活动。通过参观体验、学习交流，帮助来兰外籍留学生深入领略中医药文化、感受中医药魅力，多方位浸润“杏林种子”，让外籍留学生成为中外文化交流的青春使者，为促进民心相通、推动构建人类命运共同体做出积极贡献。随着中医药在全球传播日益广泛，中医药“朋友圈”越来越大，中医药的故事将在世界徐徐展开、娓娓道来。
This activity aims to build a platform for foreign students to learn about the specialty of TCM and TCM industry in Gansu, and to provide immersive TCM cultural experience. Through visiting and experiencing, learning and exchange, it helped foreign students in Lanzhou to deeply appreciate the beauty of TCM, feel the charm of it, and allow foreign students to actively experience Chinese culture, thus making positive contributions to promoting mutual understanding and building a community with a shared future for mankind. As TCM continues to expand its global footprint, the story of TCM will continue to be shared and unfold within the world.
